There are lots of different ways you can help Sparkles raise money from the so-quick-and-easy-you-will-hardly-know-you’re-doing-it, to the big challenges!

ONE:
The ‘standard’ way to donate to Sparkles is through JustGiving: www.justgiving.com/southbucks-sparkles (remember that if you’re a tax payer and the donation is not in return for goods or services, you can also add Gift Aid).
TWO:
Amazon Smile: https://www.amazon.co.uk/b?ie=UTF8&node=17337655031. Amazon Smile donates whilst you shop at no extra cost to you. Open your Amazon app and find ‘Gifting and Charity’ in the main menu (☰). Tap on ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions to select Sparkles and turn on AmazonSmile on your phone.
THREE:
Get involved in our events! Annual events include our sponsored one mile walk, the Big Step Forward, and our Autumn/Winter fundraiser. We also have an exciting auction and coffee morning coming up in March, when you’ll be able to bid on a 2 night stay for 2 adults and 2 children at Foxes Hotel, Minehead (https://foxeshotel.co.uk/) – watch this Space!
FOUR:
Nominate Sparkles for supermarket token schemes! You can do this at your local Tesco (https://tescocommunitygrants.org.uk/nominate/ ) or Asda (https://www.asdafoundation.org/documents/nominate_a_cause_form.pdf). Some banks also have community charity schemes.
FIVE:
Fundraise at work: find out whether your workplace has a nominate a charity scheme and suggest us!
SIX:
If you’re not working from home you can hold a bake sale and tell your colleagues all about Sparkles and the amazing things we do for our children. Bake sales can also work for churches, play groups, or even hold a bake sale or coffee morning at your own home.
SEVEN:
Add Sparkles donations to your PayPal purchases: On the ‘Giving’ tab of the PayPal website or app, click ‘Set favourite charity’ to give you the option of adding a quid or two to Sparkles as you check out from purchases.
EIGHT:
Play the Sparkles Lottery. You have to be in it to win it! In return for a monthly donation of £5 you can win cash prizes! Join our lottery
NINE:
Take on a sponsored running challenge such as the Chiltern Challenge: https://www.ultrachallenge.com/chiltern-50/

Get Creative – even in the event of a pandemic or lockdown you can still come up with ways to raise money for Sparkles. Kirsty, our former chair’s ’21 Sparkles’ fundraiser in June 2020 saw many of our children learn and show off 21 new things for sponsorship – and raised £3k in the process!
